DTN COMMENTS: Moderate trading is evident in most areas at midday with 
prices generally steady/firm compared with last week. Some business in Texas 
is as much as $1 higher (98).  Some feedlots continue to hold for higher 
money (e.g., 99 in the South, and 155 in the North).  Our guess is that most 
of the week's business will be completed by the end of the day.  

Beef cutouts are modestly higher at midday (Choice 161.98 +.23, Select 
156.14 +.23), with moderate box movement (79.83 lds of choice cuts, 57.43 
lds of select cuts, 15.47 lds of trim, and 47.44 lds of ground). Live cattle 
futures are significantly higher at midday, supported by short covering and 
evidence of cash stability.
